How to Reattach Dell XPS M1720 Keyboard Keys
Dell offers an array of innovative laptops for home or business use. With regular use, Dell XPS M1720 Keyboard key caps can loosen or fall off. The key caps sit on an attachment assembly which allows the key to spring up and down. If the key cap is free of debris and the attachment assembly remains intact on the laptop, the key can be reattached with little effort. Reattaching the key can eliminate the need to replace the entire Dell XPS M1720 Keyboard, saving time and money.
Check the bottom of the key cap to make sure it's clean. If it's not, dampen a cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol and wipe the key with it to remove any dirt or debris.
Set the key on top of the attachment assembly. Make sure it's centered properly.
Press the key down a few times until it clicks into place.
Press the key to test it. It should move up and down like the other keys.
